Friday:Friday was the first day! For the mentors! I was a little worry about this year! I didn't know if I had any friends this other than one! So Friday is the day that the mentors come and get settled in and then we go to a family friend of Compassionate Heart and we have dinner and we played games. We did this one ice breaker where we had to write down celebs names and then we were in a group and then we had to have our teams guess who it was! Then we had to come up with lyrics to a song that we would sing to the participants the next day! After that we just hung out they had a Bon fire then we went back to the church ad practiced the song then a few of my friends and I just hung out and talked then went to bed!
Saturday: we woke up had breakfast! Then we went to mentor training. We also found out who we were going to have for the week! After mentor training we had lunch and change in our crazy out fits and then the participants started to arrive! Once they arrived we did a scavenger hunt! We had to find where we were going to stay and where showers were! After that we finally sang our song then got ready for dinner! After dinner we had motorcycle an convertible car rides! I went in a old car and a jeep ride! And that it was time for worship! My favorite time! After worship we had small group. After small group it was snack. Then it is it time to get the the campers ready for bed! After they went to bed mentors would go to mentor meetings and then went to bed!
Sunday: The Lord's day. We woke up and got ready for the day. We are breakfast and then we had some down time and then we went into the church service and there they told the church about us and what we are Doing during the week. After that service we moved into the gym where we had our church service with the church where we are staying and my church. After that we got ready for lunch and then I took a nap. I was exhausted. After my nap we had a carnival. After the carnival we ate dinner and then go ready for worship. After worship we had small group. After small group it was snack. Then it is it time to get the the campers ready for bed! After they went to bed mentors would go to mentor meetings and then went to bed!
Monday: first day of work. For my first day of work I went and worked at Renew horse place. While there I worked in the horse stalls. It. Was. DISGUSTING. I. Hated. It. After work sites everyone else came and we got to do different activities. One was a hay ride, one was relay races, one was a grooming place and one was horse riding. After horse riding we went back to the church and had dinner then I ran over and took a shower because I felt disgusting. After I took a shower it was time for worship. After worship we had small group. After small group it was snack. Then it is it time to get the the campers ready for bed! After they went to bed mentors would go to mentor meetings and then went to bed!
Tuesday: Second work day. For my second day of work, I went to a senior living center and I got to play bingo and wii bowling what a fun day. It was very relaxing and it was cold out side so were got to be inside so it was very nice. After work sites we went to backwoods adventures. this year we were in jeans and sweatshirts unlike last year. We had a great time riding quads, fishing and so many other activities We ate dinner out there and then went back for worship., After worship we had small group. After small group it was snack. Then it is it time to get the the campers ready for bed! After they went to bed mentors would go to mentor meetings and then went to bed!
Wednesday... Last full day together. For our last day of work we went to a community park and spread bark. It was a beautiful day there. After we finished working we went swimming. After swimming we had the banquet it was very fun.
Thursday: Last day :( I was so sad to have the week end but I was ready to sleep in my own bed. I was so happy to see what God did through out the week. As the year goes on I will do TBT and share more memories but for bye.
